Global markets traded mixed today while the GCC markets had a largely positive performance with all active markets gaining with the exception of Dubai, which declined by 1.2%, and Bahrain, which closed flat. The Dubai stock market decreased by 1.2% in today’s session, after news of Union Properties’ loss. Mashreq Bank was the top loser, declining by 9.9%.
Abu Dhabi's market increased by 0.4% led by stocks in the banking sector such as ADIB (1.6%), FGB (1.4%), and NBAD (0.5%). Qatar's index moved up by 0.8% due to Masraf Al Rayan’s and Industry Qatar’s respective increases of 3.4% and 1.5%. Oman’s stock market increased by 0.1% with Bank Muscat increasing 0.1%.
