The GCC markets ended on a mixed note with three out of the five trading markets ending in red. The Omani market was closed on account of Renaissance Day. The Kuwaiti bourse lost 0.3% despite strong performance from market majors, Zain, KFH and NBK which surged by 2.6%, 2.8% and 1.1% respectively.
Qatar National Bank and Qtel lifted the Qatari index to close higher by 0.1%, and ended up by 0.5% and 0.4% respectively. Dubai bourse bucked its four days positive trend and ended low by 0.2% undermined by Emirates NBD and DFM which slid by 0.9% and 1.5% respectively. Abu Dhabi bourse climbed 0.4%, driven by healthy gains registered in NBAD, Sorouh and Al Dar properties which spiked 1.4%, 2.5% and 1.6% respectively. The Bahraini bourse extended its losses and ended the day with a loss of 0.2%, and down by 0.5% for the week. The Saudi market was closed for today.
